A Church is Your Home

In my life journey, I felt heavy going to church or worship places. I didn't know and I thought that was satan's temptation. I did it times. It wasn't easy, definitely. But, I was called by the Lord to serve people who are needed, such as I have writing abilities so God wants me to use my abilities to share His words. It started beginning, it felt heavy absolutely but it took a while and a long process that I got through. I learned from what my friends said and what pastors preached. It has changed my life. I feel happy and not heavy going to church every day not just Sunday. Feeling happy, and excited, and can't wait to go to church to worship, meet my friends, have a party, and do some fun things that I don't want to miss!

As a Deaf Christian, you have to know that I grow up in a hearing Christian community and always felt like a foreign person, just like foreign pastors in Indonesia because I am the only Deaf person despite I was born in Indonesia. But, I feel welcome and get at home in this community because they encourage love, prayer, support, respect, listening to, and care for one another. I would never be able to be feeling lonely, alone, and isolated because He is with me every day and they love me when I come to the church. Yeah, I do not have male friends and am still struggling but I believe I would have male friends.

A church is a home and a community to grow my faith. A church is your home, where you grow up, and where you find the name of Jesus Christ. You can build 5 churches by 5 people without needing to buy bricks but building and sharing the gospel for people who do not know Him. That's free! Just treat your church like your home with Him and the people that you love. Hebrews 10: 23-25 reminds you for a reason.

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--- and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10: 23-25 NIV

There are five points in Hebrews 10: 23-25 about encouraging you for a reason.

  1. Hold on to Jesus Christ

  2. Trust God's promised

  3. Faithful

  4. Good habits

  5. Encourage one another

If you feel lazy, please keep praying and remembering that He never gives up on you. One day you end up deciding to go to church for a reason. A reason is a power that comes from the Lord. He comes for a reason, is to save you from the lust, shame, temptations, and sins that have come from the world.

Please remember, we are God's children to love and pray for you, try encouraging you to grow your faith. You not only come to church Sundays but every day. Then, rejoice in the name of Lord Jesus Christ.

Let's rejoice in every situation in Philippians 4: 4.
