Yesterday, I watched a movie titled "Yes, God, Yes" which stories about a Catholic girl who was raised in a tight-Catholic high school having different sexual experiences and obsessions. I loved that movie because it reminded me of where was I raised in a tight-Catholic school. You can see how the beginning scene when a teacher watches out for every student who breaks the rules. That's totally true because I studied in a Catholic school where knew very high discipline and always give punishments if you are caught on breaking the rules. These were the moments when I studied at a Catholic school and it makes me miss Catholic school, despite I'm a Christian.
Then, what something could I learn from this movie? Commitment is expensive. What does mean? This movie is about how a girl having sexual expressions and being a witness to how a pastor was caught on self masturbating while he is watching a porn video on his computer and also a couple of students also had oral sex in the middle of the forest even though they are in a Catholic summer camp. It looks like lust, isn't it? Yeah, this is sexual lust and is one of the biggest temptations that come from the world, which has written in the Bible says 1 John 2: 15-17 and 1 Corinthians 6: 18.
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world--- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--- comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." 1 John 2: 15-17
"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body." 1 Corinthians 6: 18
In fact in religious history, you would find that there are hypocrites who brave to destroy the truth of Christ for their own gain and fool society on behalf of a religion. The lust of world which we called. Lust of the world and the biggest temptations that you have ever tried to ruin and against yourself but at times you can't do it because it's too strong to be against. You aren't alone and you have Jesus Christ, but He asks you need to be committed to doing the will of God. What that is? A commitment that you need to have. A commitment that comes when you are getting baptized to start a new life and even you are looking out for who Jesus Christ is. A commitment that isn't easy so that's why I say the commitment is expensive. The commitment needs more process and time if you can do it. A human being would always have a limit, that I know. I do and had a porn addiction, that was tough and tiring. I start as slowly as possible to commit to Him as I want only to follow Him for the rest of my life. If you start as slow as possible, you will think of a commitment that is expensive and never an easy thing. That thing needs the consistency that I have written. Commitment and consistency that we called C&C. You need C&C to follow Jesus Christ and He will guide you everywhere you go out and are.
You are a good Christian, you can do it and you are committed to Him for the rest of your life. I believe you are because living in Christ would be forever, full of joy, love, eternal, and glory. Matthew 16: 24 commands you to take up the cross and follow Him, which means you are a Christian, you would be suffering, lust, temptation, persecution, and other bad things that you face on but in lively a Christ, you will glory and victory that where you only need C&C.
You can do it! You are loved and saved by the Lord of Jesus Christ.
