Before becoming a Christian who is a follower of Jesus Christ, I would think that Jesus Christ wasn't a Lord and not a savior because I learned before that He was just a prophet. A pastor reminded me, "Don't be selfish. You need to open your heart. You'll find the answer and the truth." And, she was right because I ended up believing He is my savior, Lord, and my king, and have decided to follow Him for the rest of my life after spending two years of seeking at who Jesus Christ is and He saved me many times.
A human being definitely has selfishness because it was created by the Lord to have to think and talk about what they think and feel. So, sometimes, they overstepped their bounds and become arrogant. Arrogant results in the selfishness of thinking and opinions. Just like a debate that has nothing winner because both parties are selfish themselves on behalf of their opinions. Selfishness is a dangerous thing because it will close your heart and affects arrogance, ignorance, and caring-less people who have warned. In Romans 15: 2 NIV says:
"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Roman 15: 2 NIV
Romans 15: 2 orders to have a healthy relationship with your neighbors for the love each other. When people want to warn you, you should listen because you are needed to be heard and this is how social interaction working is, which possible for you would be avoiding selfishness and caring-less. In other things, James 3: 16 says:
"For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice." James 3: 16
This verse has proved that selfishness causes evil practice to each other who have warned. It has relations to myself who had selfishness and caring-less what people think and say like I didn't think Jesus Christ is a God although a pastor reminded me not to be selfish. So, I need to put attention to someone who wants to talk with because this is important to love and care. Respect and don't be selfish.
